Teen threatens death

February 08, 2010 14:02

An Innisfil teen is in hot water after losing his temper on Sunday, Feb. 7. South Simcoc Police arrived at an Innisfil residence to find the 15-year-old had caused damage and had threatened to kill other people in the house. He was arrested and held overnight at the Bradford police station to wait for a bail hearing in Barrie Youth Court.

Fugitive caught
Acting on a lead from Northumberland OPP, South Simcoe Police visited a house on Feb. 4 looking for man wanted on an outstanding warrant for criminal harassment and breach of recognizance. They found the 35-year-old man they were looking for and held him in custody until the OPP arrived.

Teen charged with sexual assault
South Simcoe Police is investigating a young woman’s complaint she was sexually assaulted and threatened with death in Innisfil in 2008. She also says the same person assaulted her at a Bradford address. Police have charged a 16-year-old Innisfil man with assault, sexual assault and threatening death. He was released from custody with a promise to appear in court in March.

Felon apprehended
A man wanted for failing to appear in court on charges of obstructing police, break and enter, possession of stolen property and breach of probation was arrested after a routine traffic stop on Saturday, Feb. 6. A computer check revealed the 20-year-old was wanted on these charges after not showing up in court last November. He was held in jail overnight and appeared in bail court on Feb. 7.
