Pellet handgun used to threaten male

February 02, 2010 17:02

Police say a 20-year-old man was charged with threatening a man with a pellet gun.

Police were called to a River Road West residence at about 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 30 because a man had been threatened with a handgun over a property issue.

Police learned the victim knew the man and discovered he had posted a threatening Facebook message.

Police arrested the man in Elmvale.

"In doing so police located several oxycodone tablets and other drug paraphernalia on him," said police. "A subsequent search of this Elmvale residence by police resulted in the recovery of the weapon used at the residence in Wasaga Beach, a Crosman 2240 Pellet Gun."

Meisenbacher, of Wasaga Beach, is charged with "Utter Threat", "Criminal Harassment", "Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose", "Point a firearm" and "Possession of Schedule 1 - other drug" under the Controlled Drug and Substance Act.
