TOTTENHAM - On Saturday morning, Tottenham volunteer firefighters took to the streets to help raise money for the Haiti Relief effort.

Sherri Layoie and Sparky were accepting donations at the corner of Queen Street and Mill Street and also at Price Chopper for the Boot Drive.

The firefighters want to send a special thanks to Paul Niederhuber owner of the Coin Car Wash and Alex Zong, owner of the Price Chopper, and to the whole community for their generous donations which raised $1,613.70.

This amount will be matched dollar for dollar by the federal government and a cheque  is being sent to the Red Cross.
