Midland police officers and firefighters found themselves in the middle of a hair emergency last week.
On July 1, emergency personnel had their heads shaved in a Cops for Cancer fundraiser that brought in $4,776.73 from the Canada Day crowd at Little Lake Park.
The newly shorn men in uniform were joined by Melissa McTague, who gave up 13 inches of her hair to produce a wig for the Canadian Cancer Society.
Emcee Mike L’Enfant raised money from the crowd by agreeing to join the group in having his head shaved, as well.
