Adj-Tos hosts Canada Day bash

Adjala-Tosorontio Township is hosting its Canada Day celebrations once again this year.

The annual event, held at the township offices, will get underway with opening ceremonies from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. There will be dignitaries and special guests on hand for a flag raising and the singing of O Canada.

There will be care and refreshments, as well as music for children.

The evening events start at 6:30 p.m. There will be classic and unique cars, as well as model airplanes.

Both the Adjala-Tosorontio and the Rosemont District fire departments will be there, as well as an OPP command post.

There will be entertainment for children, including a bouncy castle and face painting. There is also going to be live music from the 1950s and '60s

Hotdogs and drinks will be available.

The fireworks start at dusk.
