June 15, 2009 22:06

An 18-year-old Innisfil woman was welcomed to Summerfest by an observant officer Saturday.
A South Simcoe Police officer on duty at the Innisfil Beach Park festival recognized the woman as someone wanted for assault with a weapon and assault causing bodily harm.
She was arrested and taken back to the police station.

Another court order broken
A man attending Summerfest Sunday was charged with breaking a court order after he was seen spoking to his step daughter.
The 46-year-old Innisfil man is under court imposed conditions not to communicate with her.

The 39-year-old man was charged with assault causing bodily harm.
Police also ended up charging the victim after they learned he was under court imposed conditions not to consume alcohol.

Steered the wrong way
A man and woman who got into an argument while driving along Innisfil Beach Road attracted plenty of attention Sunday.
An off duty officer saw a vehicle leave the road and speed along the shoulder.
When the vehicle stopped, South Simcoe Police learned the male passenger had grabbed the steering wheel, turning the car toward the shoulder.
A 29-year-old Barrie man has been charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle. Police also charged the man with common nuisance because other drivers were exposed to the situation.
