Brandon Crisp, 15, was last seen Thanksgiving Monday

Helicopter brought in to search for missing teen

October 19, 2008 21:10

As the family of missing Barrie teen Brandon Crisp continues to wait for word on his whereabouts, police conducted a full air and ground search Sunday east of the city .

Monday will mark a week since the 15-year-old left the family home on Hickling Trail following an argument with his parents.  The search is a combined OPP/Barrie Police effort.

Friends and co-workers of the family have been placing 'missing teen' posters around the city and area. Dozens of volunteers scoured the area searching for Brandon. The effort is expected to resume Monday.

The parents are asking for the public’s help to find him. Brandon, a Grade 10 student at St. Joseph’s High School, was wearing a burgundy American Eagle hoodie, under a yellow and grey jacket, carrying a yellow backpack, and is believed to be riding a yellow bike.

He is five feet, three inches tall, weighing approximately 100 pounds, and has dirty blonde hair, and green eyes.

Brandon's mom, Angelika Crisp, said the main thing is to make sure he's safe.

"We want to let him know that he's not in trouble. We just want to know he's OK," she said.

"We want him to give us a call, or call a friend. Even if he wants to stay where he is, I just want him to let us know he's alright."

Anyone with information about Brandon's whereabouts is asked to call Barrie Police at 725-7025.
