Banting Memorial High School fly-half Steve Fievet fights off two tackles as he makes a drive down the field during an exhibition rugby game against a Port Elgin high school Tuesday. The senior boys Marauders start their regular home season Wednesday.

The Banting Marauders senior boys rugby team will kick off the season this afternoon (April 30) for a game against Holy Trinity High School.

The game starts at 2:30 p.m. at the Banting Memorial field behind the school.

The game will be followed by a junior boys game, and then a senior girls game.

The senior boys have had a successful preseason, winning two tournaments, one in Washington D.C., and another outside of Hamilton.
