Skating pageant benefit for Khanna family

April 11, 2008 22:04

Alliston figure skaters are lacing up in support of the Khanna family.

The ice show is featuring national figure skater Chris Mabee, guest skaters Justin Perdi, Adriana Desanctis and Alliston's own figure skaters.

The show is April 25 at the New Tecumseth Recreation Complex. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with the show starting at 6 p.m. Tickets are available at the door and are $5 for adults, $3 for students and seniors and free for children under four years.

A donation will be made to support the Khanna family, whose 14-year-old daughter Ashna was stabbed in her Alliston home March 4. Her 44-year-old father Kamal Khanna was charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault and assault with a weapon in connection with the incident. He has appeared at a bail hearing and will remain in custody until his next court date May 2.
