The Lisle Legion is serving breakfast this Sun., March 30 from 9 a.m. until noon. Adults eat for $5.50, children under 12, for $2.50. Breakfast includes eggs, bacon, sausages, pancakes or french toast, beans, home fries, toast, juice and coffee. All are welcome.

Come share your talent at an Amateur Coffeehouse Night hosted by the Our Lady of Grace Church choir.

Invite your family and friends to an evening of coffee, fun, fellowship and live music on Fri., April 4 at 7:30 p.m. at the Our Lady of Grace parish located at 27 Centre St. in Angus. Refreshments and snacks will be available and donations are graciously accepted.

If you would like to share your talent as a singer or musician, sign up is at 7 p.m. Original music is encouraged. No karaoke please. Our Lady of Grace plans to make this a monthly event so watch for upcoming dates in this column.

If you are interested in ordering April’s Good Food Box. You must pre-order by April 5 at the Essa Library with a cash payment. The cost is $13 for a large and $9 for a small. Please keep in mind that April’s pick-up day is on April 17 at Pinewoods Chapel.

If you do not pick up your order on time it will be donated to the Angus Food Bank.

The Angus Senior Citizens Friendship Club hosts a trip to Casino Rama on the first Monday of each month. The next trip will be Mon., April 7. A cost of $5 covers bus transportation and a noon meal buffet.

The Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority and Barrie Rotary Club are hosting the 2008 Spring Tonic Maple Syrup Festival at the Tiffin Centre on the weekend of April 5 and 6.

This is always a great event with maple taffy, maple syrup-making demonstrations and a terrific pancake breakfast. The Tiffin Centre for Conservation can be found on the 8th Concession of Essa, four kilometres south of Highway 90.

A free car seat clinic is being held at the Angus arena on Thurs., April 24 from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Please call 705-458-1103, ext. 7020 for an appointment. Don’t forget to bring the car seat manufacturer’s instructions, vehicle owner’s manual and your questions.
