It is snowing outside and it looks like the weather will cooperate for the 32nd annual Sunnidale Winterama.

This event is being held in New Lowell from Jan. 31 to Feb. 3. A few of the many activities include a spaghetti supper, video dance party for Grade 6 to Grade 11 students, a pancake breakfast, silent auction, euchre, and many children’s activities in the park.

The Youth Advisory Committee is hosting an open house at the Borden Youth Centre on Sun., Jan. 27 from 11a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be a silent auction and bake sale along with games and activities. Hot dogs and hamburgers will be served for lunch between noon and 2 p.m. for only $1 each.

Angus United Church is hosting a pancake supper Feb. 1 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Come and enjoy pancakes, sausages, coffee, tea and juice. Adults eat for $6, children 11 and under for $3 and preschoolers eat free.

Zion Presbyterian Church is hosting a pancake supper on Feb. 5 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at 8 Margaret St. Enjoy pancakes, sausages, dessert, tea and coffee. Adults eat for $6, children under 12 eat for $3 and preschoolers eat free.

Christ Church-St. Jude’s in Ivy is hosting its annual pancake supper on Feb. 5 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Ivy Orange Hall. Adults eat for $5, children six to 12 years eat for $2.50 and children under six years of age eat for free.

A blood donor clinic is being held at the Angus Arena on Feb. 7 from 2 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Please call 1-888-2-DONATE to book your appointment.

Enjoy public skating at the Essa Arena on Wednesdays from 6 p.m. to 7:20 p.m. and on Sundays from noon to 1:20 p.m. The arena also hosts a free parent and tot skate on Fridays from 11 a.m to noon. For more information about prices or rentals please call the arena at 705-424-9303.
