Several Dufferin roads closed due to conditions

Police advise motorists to stay home

BY Staff   January 28, 2010 12:01

Dufferin County - Dufferin OPP is urging motorists not to drive unless absolutely necessary. Strong winds, blowing snow, and localized snow squalls are creating unsafe driving conditions with icy road surfaces and zero visibility.

While all might look calm to South Simcoe residents looking out their windows today, anyone planning to travel outside the area should take note, things aren’t so great on area highways just to the north.

Dufferin OPP are reporting strong winds, blowing snow, and localized snow squalls are creating unsafe driving conditions with icy road surfaces and zero visibility in some areas. They are urging motorists not to drive unless absolutely necessary.

•County Road 124 from Shelburne to Singhampton (Highway 89 to Grey Road 4).

•County Road 11 from Orangeville to Shelburne (County Road 109 to Amaranth Township Sideroad 30).
