Coun. Jordan seeks mayor's seat

BY Matthew Talbot, Staff   January 26, 2010 11:01

ADJALA-TOSORONTIO - One new name joins two incumbent councillors on the Township of Adjala-Tosorontio's 2010 municipal elections list.

Newcomer Steve Brockman is running for councillor Ward 1 and filed his nomination on Jan. 15.

Incumbent Coun. Ward 4 Joy Webster is running for deputy mayor this year and she filed Jan. 22.

Incumbent Coun. Ward 1 Jack Jordan, meanwhile, has opted not to challenge Brockman for his seat and is instead targeting the mayor's seat currently held by Tom Walsh. Jordan also filed Jan. 22.

The municipal elections are Oct. 25.
