Driver airlifted after serious crash in Lisle

Police don't yet know why the driver  of a car smashed into a bridge near Lisle late this afternoon.

The accident occurred just after 3:30 p.m. on the 3rd Conc. of Adjala-Tosorontio  and County Road 23 near Lisle.

Firefighters from the Everett station had to use the Jaws of Life to extricate the driver from the wreckage.

He was in serious condition and was airlifted to hospital.

The Nottawasaga OPP have called in the accident reconstruction team to assist in the investigation.
