BY Staff   June 16, 2009 13:06

The Alliston Firefighters' Association is partnering with the Alliston Community Policing Committee to bring back youth dances at the Alliston Memorial Arena at 59 Nelson St. W.

The firefighters will be providing the D.J.'s and the venue with Alliston Community Policing providing supervision and operating the snack bar.

The music will be the current most popular tunes with a light show and prizes donated by local businesses given away throughout the night.

The next dance will be held at the arena on Fri., June 19, from 7 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. for youth aged nine to 15. Admission is $8.

Dances will also be held on Fri., July 10, and Fri., Aug. 14.

Funds raised by Alliston Community Policing from the event will go towards supporting youth programs throughout the community.
