Children for Peace cards are going on sale.

Holiday cards made by local school children as a part of the Children for Peace project go on sale at the Gibson Centre Mon., Dec. 1. An opening reception will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The project is hosted by the South Simcoe Arts Council, DAREarts and the Gibson Centre. This is the second year  the groups have worked together with local school children to create fundraising holiday cards. The cards will be sold locally, with proceeds going towards the Children's Garden Home and School in Nairobi, Kenya. The home is run by Alliston's Gary and Diane Laakso.

Cards will be on sale at the Gibson Centre, 63 Tupper St., Alliston, until Dec. 19.
