Thanks for running for Terry

November 19, 2008 15:11

On behalf of the Terry Fox Foundation I would like to thank everyone who participated and donated to this year's Terry Fox Run.

Also thanks to Alliston Pizza Hut for supplying lunch.

With all the different runs, walks and bikes being organized for various charities, we were very happy with the turnout. It was great to see familiar and new faces as well as families participating together.

It's not just about how much money we raised, it's so much more. It's about people paying their respect to family and friends. It's about parents passing on Terry's legacy of Terry Fox Canadian hero to their children.  It's about finding a cure!

This year we had 85 participants, who all stayed dry and raised almost $3,500.

If you would still like to donate or buy a t-shirt or volunteer go online to www.terryfoxrun.org or call  1-888-836-9786.
