Light Up Ceremonies
Help flick the switch to light up the town. A free family celebration hosted by the Town of New Tecumseth. Come out and enjoy carolling, a candlelit stroll, treats for the kids and a visit from Santa himself. Children's crafts to be held at the Museum on the Boyne.

Dr. Seuss Santa Claus Parade
Sat., Dec. 6 - 10 a.m. Downtown Tottenham, sponsored by F&P Manufacturing. Stop by the Legion after the parade for hot chocolate and snacks. Parking available at the Price Chopper and Home Hardware parking lot.
Let it Snow: History of Winter Sports exhibit at the Museum on the Boyne, Nov. 18 - March 31. This new exhibit explores the origins and evolution of several winter sports, including skiing, ice skating, sledding, and snowshoeing. Come in from the cold and discover what you didn't know about your favourite winter sports. Regular admission fees apply.
Tottenham Craft and Gift Show - Fri., Nov. 28, 5 to 9 p.m. and Sat., Nov. 29, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tottenham Community Centre. Free Admission. Many unique items. See the Festival of Trees. Pictures with Santa on Saturday 11 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Don't Forget the Reindeer - Sat., Nov. 29 at Museum on the Boyne Ages two to six. The reindeer need love too! Give them a warm thank you by making delicious treat for them, as well as a unique craft. 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Museum members $10, non-members $15.
I've Got a Secret - Sat., Nov. 29 at Museum on the Boyne Ages four to 13. No adults allowed. Let the museum be your one-stop shop for Christmas gifts. You will make hand-made gifts to go under the tree. 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Museum members $20, non-members $30.
Alliston BIA's Children's Festivities - Sat., Nov. 29 at the Alliston Memorial Arena. Santa's coming to town 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Activities include a petting zoo, face painting, crafts and much more. New this year will be a vendor's market to entertain parents.
Christmas Tea - Sat., Dec. 6 at Museum on the Boyne Share in the sights, sounds and flavours of a traditional pioneer Christmas tea. Crafts for the kids and maybe an appearance by Santa. 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Museum members $4, non-members $5.
Tim Hortons Tour of Lights - Sat., Dec. 6, 6 p.m. Keogh Park, Tottenham. Free event. The Tottenham and District Chamber of Commerce with help from Tim Hortons will be hosting the annual Tour of Lights evening beginning at Keogh Park. Activities will include carolling led by the Smalltown Girlz, entertainment by George Scott and friends, hot chocolate, pictures with Santa, and wagon rides to view the festive lights around town. Winners of Tottenham's light up contest will be announced and prizes awarded at 6:30 p.m. Festivities begin at 6 p.m. and finish with the wagon rides around Tottenham from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
South Simcoe Railway Santa Claus Express - Join Santa and his elves again Dec. 6 to 21 for their annual visit on the Santa Express. Adults $13, Children $7. Under two, free. For more information call 905-936-5815.
Gingerbread Goodies - Sat., Dec. 20, Museum on the Boyne. Ages two to six. Come decorate your gingerbread masterpieces. They will look so yummy, they may not make it home, 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Museum member $10, non-member $15.
It Smells Like Christmas - Sat., Dec. 20, Museum on the Boyne, ages six to 13 The museum is under construction… gingerbread construction. Come build and decorate your very own home. Tools will be provided, just bring your creativity. 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Museum members $15, non-members $20.
