Former Lieutenant Governor to unveil Loblaw plaque

The Honourable Lincoln Alexander will be unveiling a provincial plaque in honour of Alliston's Theodore P. Loblaw.

Alexander is a former Lieutenant Governor of Ontario and chair of the Ontario Heritage Trust.

The plaque unveiling for Loblaw is Sat., Sept. 20 at Stevenson Farms. Loblaw is the founder of the Loblaws grocery chain, opening his first grocereteria in 1919.

The plaque will be located at Stevenson Fams has been in the Loblaw family since 1833.

The presentation is at 2 p.m. at Stevenson Farms, 5923 King St. N.

Officials from the Ontario Heritage Trust, Simcoe County Historical Association, Stevenson Farms, Essa Historical Society and all levels of government will be a part of the unv
