Grandmothers are going Ragtime

Proof that jive is still alive is coming to Alliston. Ragtime boogie-woogie pianist Bob Milne is headlining a concert Sept. 5. Milne is a world-reknowned artist who is known for his engaging manner onstage. He has 11 piano recordings to date.

Grandmothers Embrace are hosting the concert at the Knox Presbyterian Church, 160 King St. S. in Alliston. The concert starts at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets are $15 and available from Grandmothers Embrace members or by calling 705-435-8848.

Proceeds from the concert will go towards the Stephen Lewis Foundation.
