New Tecumseth Mayor Mike MacEachern is using the fairway to help high school graduates follow their dreams.

Links for Learning is the first annual golf tournament to raise money for a new scholarship for students needing financial help to follow their career dreams.

Numbers are the reason for the tournament.

In New Tecumseth 11 per cent of students go on to achieve a university degree. The goal of the tournament is to improve this alarming number.

The tournament is Tues., Sept. 2 at Club at Bond Head.

Tickets are $195 for the day. For people only wanting to attend the dinner, cost is $75.
