Nottawasaga OPP getting new commander

Faces are changing at the Nottawasaga OPP. Detachment commander Insp. Dave Farrar is leaving.

Farrar has accepted the position of Manager of Contract Policing, part of the OPP Business and Financial Services Bureau. He starts Sept. 8.

Farrar has been the Nottawasaga detachment commander since January 2006.

The interim detachment commander is Insp. Stephen Clegg.

Clegg has been with the OPP since 1988. He brings with him a wealth of knowledge and expertise.

Clegg was the unit commander for the Provincial Weapons Enforcement Unit. He has also served on specialty investigative units including the Drug Enforcement Branch, Anti-Rackets, Illegal Gaming Enforcement.
