10th Line closure

In order to do repair the 10th Line bridge the road is temporarily closing.

There will be no through traffic on the 10th Line, between Sideroad 10 and Sideroad 15, from July 15 to Dec. 1. Local traffic is allowed past the barricades, and the contractor is ensuring garbage pick-up won't be interrupted during the closure.

Joint BIA

A board is now in place for the Beeton-Tottenham Business Improvement Area.

With management chosen, the board has asked council for a 2008 budget of $20,000. Council will vote on releasing the money July 14.

BIA board members are chair Barbara Pagliaroli, with Denise Davidson as vice-chair. Lory Whittemore is the treasurer. The directors are Chris Sooknanan, Ken Pratt, Doug Pitkin and Joanne Burns. Councillors Richard Norcross and Jess Prothero are also sitting on the board, with town staff support from Gayla McDonald and Katie Bagshaw.
