The Museum on the Boyne became a military and frontier encampment over the weekend as re-enactors set up teepees and tents and recreated a War of 1812 period temporary settlement. Peter Monahan of the Newfoundland Regiment wears the uniform of his military unit and carries his .75 calibre flint-lock musket. While Saturday saw a fair crowd out to take a live look at history, Sunday, being Mother’s Day, was a little slow.
