No volunteers means no Everfest this year

Everett Parks Improvement Committee News

Everfest 2008

Due to the lack of volunteer support, the Everett Parks Improvement Committee is unable to proceed with Everfest this year.

We are hoping to start it again in the coming year; however, it takes dedicated volunteers to make it a success, as it has been in the last few years.

If you or family members are interested in helping our group, give us a call, 705-435-7414 or e-mail info@everettpic.ca.

Everett Baseball

EPIC has successfully restarted baseball in Everett for 2008. However, we could still use a few more kids in each league  for T-ball (under 6) and Pee Wee (under 13). Please check our website for sign up information at www.everettpic.ca or call 705-435-7414, season begins around May 24. We have changed T-ball this year. The fee is $25, and games are played only within Everett, on Wednesday nights. The fee includes a t-shirt and hat. Home game nights will be posted on the website and at the Everett Variety Store.

EPIC AGM

EPIC will be holding its annual general meeting (AGM) June 11 at 7 p.m. at the Everett Legion. The group will provide the community with an update on its ideas for the year.

Some of these ideas include raising funds and offering our municipal council an opportunity to work with Everett in getting playground equipment for the Dekker Street park area, a splash pad and outdoor ice rink, baseball lighting, garbage and recycling bins throughout Everett, and flower planters within village limits.

We are not limited to this list. Please join us at our AGM to provide feedback on these ideas and to share others that you may have. EPIC would appreciate your support.
