The Angus District Lions are holding a euchre tournament on Fri., May 23 at the Angus Lions Hall at 6 Huron St. This event is to raise funds for Sightfirst, an international Lion’s program to find a cure for preventable blindness. The doors open at 6:30 p.m. and admission is $10 per person. Games begin at 7:30 p.m. and a light meal is included.

Our Lady of Grace and Assumption Catholic Parish is hosting a Garden Gala barbecue steak dinner and auction fundraiser May 31 at the church’s brand new location on 27 Centre St. Angus. Tickets must be purchased in advance for $30 for individuals and $50 for couples.
To help defray costs of running the gala, corporate and private donations of auction items or monetary assistance are being accepted. The night will begin with a viewing of live and silent auction items at 6 p.m. A barbecue steak dinner will be served at 7 p.m. The church welcomes any volunteers to help out with the event.
